About this licence
God of War on Steam is a digital version for PC, PS4 or PS5. Many years have passed since Kratos took revenge on the gods of Olympus; after surviving his last encounter with Zeus he has travelled to Midgard, ancient Norway. There he lives with his young son Atreus amid monsters and fierce warriors. When his wife dies, Kratos must teach Atreus to survive and learn to master the rage that has driven him for years.
This instalment pairs an expanded, emotional story with a redesigned battle system, an updated camera, epic scope and impressive graphics. The game gives Kratos new depth—no longer a one-dimensional figure ruled only by rage, but a thoughtful, fully fledged character trying to become a father and mentor, with Atreus by his side.
