About this licence
Windows 10 Home is Microsoft's consumer operating system designed for everyday home use. It includes integrated antivirus (Windows Defender), the familiar Start menu and automatic cloud updates, and is offered as a perpetual digital licence for one PC.
Available in OEM and Retail variants, the licence is multilingual and delivered as a digital product key by email. Activation requires an internet connection; OEM keys tie to the motherboard while Retail keys can be transferred via a Microsoft account.

License model
Windows 10 Home is sold as a perpetual digital license — you pay once and the license has no expiry date. Two variants: OEM (single activation, permanently tied to the motherboard; motherboard replacement = license lost) and Retail (linked to your Microsoft account, transferable to a new PC by deactivating the current one). One license covers one PC. Windows 10 supports 100+ display languages, switchable from Settings after installation.

How to activate
- Download and install Windows 10 using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool or ISO.
- Go to Settings → Update & Security → Activation and click "Change product key".
- Enter your product key and follow the on-screen instructions. An internet connection is required for activation.
Compatibility
Windows 10 Home runs on any PC meeting the minimum requirements (see Requirements tab). Supports both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware. Compatible with printers, USB peripherals, and most software designed for Windows. Not compatible with Mac hardware natively, Linux, iOS, or Android.
