Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 — installation

Step 1: Download the Installer

Go to the official Microsoft download page for older versions:

visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/older-downloads/

Sign in with your Microsoft account to access the download

Find Visual Studio 2017 and download the Enterprise web installer

Alternatively, use the direct web installer link:

https://aka.ms/vs/15/release/vs_enterprise.exe

Run the downloaded installer file

Step 2: Install Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise

Run vs_enterprise.exe

The Visual Studio Installer will open — select the workloads you need (e.g. .NET desktop development, ASP.NET, C++, etc.)

Click Install and wait for the installation to complete — this can take some time depending on selected workloads

Step 3: Activate with Your Product Key

Launch Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise

When prompted to sign in, you can either sign in with a Microsoft account or skip sign-in

Go to: Help → Register Product

In the registration dialog, click "License with a Product Key"

Enter your 25-character product key and click Apply

Alternative — Activate via Microsoft Account:

Go to: Help → Register Product → Sign In

Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your Visual Studio subscription

Visual Studio will automatically detect and apply the Enterprise license

Step 4: Verify Activation

Go to: Help → About Microsoft Visual Studio

The dialog will show your license status — it should display "Enterprise" with your license details

Step 5: Done

Microsoft Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 is fully activated and ready to use
