Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016 Win — installation

Step 1: Redeem Your Product Key

Go to setup.office.com

Sign in with your Microsoft account, or create one if you don't have one — make sure you remember this account so that you can install or reinstall Office later without a product key

Enter your 25-character product key when prompted (no hyphens needed)

Follow the on-screen instructions to associate the license with your account

Step 2: Download Office

After redeeming the key, click "Install Office"

The Office installer will begin downloading automatically

Step 3: Run the Installer

Locate the downloaded setup.exe file in your Downloads folder

Double-click it to start the installation

Accept the license agreement and click Install

Grant administrator permission if prompted

Step 4: Activate

Start using an Office application right away by opening any app such as Word or Excel — in most cases, Office is activated once you start an application and after you agree to the License terms by selecting Accept

Sign in with the same Microsoft account used in Step 1 if prompted
